Dear colleagues and friends,
I hope this newsletter provides you with interesting and useful information about the latest AEC’s activities, projects and events. We are now getting close to the end of the FULL SCORE project (this August) and to the launch of our new Creative Europe project ‘Strengthening Music in Society’ (AEC-SMS) in December.
During my first months as AEC President, I have found it very valuable and inspiring to visit various AEC member institutions and AEC platforms’ events; to talk to AEC working groups members, individual students, teachers, staff, and last but not least, to the leaders within our impressive and diverse association. I hope the knowledge acquired through this direct contact will contribute to secure a well-informed and forward-looking leadership of the AEC, conducted in cooperation with the AEC Council, our CEO and Office.
During the last months, the AEC Congress Committee has been engaged in the programme planning for the forthcoming AEC Annual Congress 2017 in Zagreb titled Leadership in the Arts – The Art of Leadership while the AEC Executive Committee has been working on long-term planning and further development of the strategy, the structure and economic sustainability of our association; plans which will be presented to all AEC members later this year.
