AEC Newsletter June 2020

Celebrating and looking forward

Let us celebrate that life is slowly getting back to normal again in an increasing number of our member institutions after the COVID-19 crisis, and that we can look forward to the AEC Congress also this year, however mostly as an online event, generously taken over by mdw, Vienna. Then in 2021, The Royal Conservatory of Antwerp will be ready for hosting a full-scaled Congress followed by Lyon in 2022!

And let us celebrate the recent announcement of the Vienna Declaration on Artistic Research signed by all major players in the field. The declaration brings together all art forms in a joint understanding of the discipline and is a claim for full recognition of Artistic Research as an independent category of research, also within the OECD Frascati Manual.
Enjoy the summer!
