Dear colleagues and friends,
just in time for this newsletter to appear, breaking news comes from the European Parliament: on 19 May the MEPs finally adopted the new Creative Europe and Erasmus+ programs. Even if this news doesn’t come unexpected, it feels better than good to know that all the obstacles have now been finally removed.
Now all we need is the summer.

Updates on AEC advocacy activities

During this month, important publications have been launched: new researches on COVID-19 related to musical activity and the Porto Santo Charter.

Welcome to two new members of the AEC PJP Working Group

The new members will join the Pop and Jazz Platform WG, which organises yearly conferences addressing diverse issues related to pop, jazz and world music.

SMS Network meeting on dissemination and sustainability of the project outcomes

On the verge of the completion of the project, SMS WG members held an online meeting in order to reflect on the impact of the outcomes and the future of the project.

On 23 June, AEC partner MusiQuE invites quality assurance officers, students, teachers and leaders to its first webinar on quality assurance in higher (music) education.

Call for an External Evaluator for GloCoDa

GloCoDa is a Strategic Partnership co-funded by Erasmus+ which aims at transforming the quality and methods of online teaching in performing arts.

AEC and Young Music Talents in Europe (YMTE) - a next step in a proven collaboration

The signed collaboration by AEC and YMTE is a reality. This partnership includes the incorporation of three AEC members in the permanent YMTE WG, where one position is still vacant.

Contemporary Physical Performance Festival “Manifestal” - online

The festival is streamed worldwide until 17 June as a recap of the MA in Contemporary Physical Performance Making offered by the Estonian Academy of Music and Theater.

Webinar on Social Inclusion and Well-Being through the Arts and Interdisciplinary Practices

In the framework of the SWAIP project, the Iceland University of the Arts will host a webinar on Social Inclusion and Well-Being through the Arts and Interdisciplinary Practices on 10 June.

Artistic Research School at the Music Diaries International Workshop Festival

The Artistic Research School, a module developed in the Universidade de Aveiro, will take place as a part of the Music Diaries International Workshop Festival on 5-9 July.

Learning and Teaching (WG 5)
Latimpe/WG5 and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama invite teachers, students, researchers and policy makers to present their projects and ideas in a symposium dedicated to assessment, feedback and critique in music performance education. The symposium will be held 13-15 September in Cardiff, Wales. Call for papers is out on latimpe.eu, deadline on 1 August.
