AEC Newsletter October 2020
BEFORE THE CONGRESS

This year’s AEC Congress will be fully online, hosted by mdw – Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien with the title: Going On(line) - Connecting Communities in the Digital Age.
We have done our best to offer an interesting programme with a great variety of sessions and we hope that many people will attend and many member institutions will be represented. AEC has already organised a fully online event for the IRCs meeting in September, which proved to be really successful! Now we are working hard to ensure that the technical solutions and logistics will run smoothly also for the AEC Congress and that there will be a valuable output for all participants despite the lack of physical presence and social meeting places.
The Pre Congress programme with seven online seminars is already running. Friday 6 November at 9:00 CET, we can all connect to attend the opening session followed by a plenary session with Director General for the EU Commission's policies on Education, Youth, Sport and Culture, Themis Christophidou and a two days diverse and inspiring programme.
Looking forward to seeing you online at the AEC Congress on 6 and 7 November!

Eirik Birkeland
AEC President
