Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance is a forward thinking, contemporary and world-class Higher Education Institution with a vision to redefine the conservatoire for the 21st century. At the leading edge of music and dance training, it provides specialist education of the highest quality, which reflects the increasingly collaborative world of artistic practice and supports the lifelong career development of students and professional performing artists.

Trinity Laban’s Public Engagement team has responsibility for the development and delivery of our longstanding and innovative participatory arts programmes with a focus on older people and arts and health alongside professional development of community artists.

The Programme Manager for Public Engagement (Music) fulfils a key role within the team. Working closely with the Head of Public Engagement and the Public Engagement music and dance teams, you will be responsible for the development, programming and operational management of our community, student engagement and adult learning programmes, engaging with a diverse range of learners and participants. Current programmes span work with older people, arts and health, community events, and professional development. You will contribute to the strategic development of programmes as well as maintaining key internal and external stakeholder relationships.

You will have a genuine interest in participatory arts, creative health work and professional development and understanding of the music and wider arts sector. You will have excellent project management and producing skills, taking an imaginative and collaborative approach to developing participatory arts projects with a range of partners. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills, the ability to take initiative and manage and motivate teams.

Educated to degree-level, you will have strong and extensive arts administration experience (including team, budget and project management), outstanding communication and organisational abilities, excellent IT skills and the capability to deal with a busy and varied workload, sometimes working under pressure to meet deadlines.

Please note: This position involves working with vulnerable adults, therefore the appointment will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check.
