After 8 years as AEC Chief executive – a function which was recently renamed “Executive Director”, Stefan Gies has announced to the AEC Office and Council his wish to retire by the end of February 2024. AEC is now starting the process of recruiting a new Executive Director. This process will take some months to secure a proper selection and a smooth transition.
We hope that the new Executive Director will be able to start in full function in the office in Brussels from 1st February 2024.
