The Koninklijk Conservatorium will host the Ton Koopman Academy for the second year.
About the Academy
The Ton Koopman Academy is a four-day intensive programme open for musicians currently studying, or having already completed, a Master of Early Music. Participants will receive individual lessons from a leading Early Music specialist in their instrument. Complementary to these individual lessons, participants will be arranged into small chamber ensembles and receive ensemble coaching on key Early Music repertoire. In addition to the practical lessons, participants will take part in discussions under the guidance of Ton Koopman, focussing on questions of research and historical performance practice. At the end of the Academy, the participants will present an informal concert of the repertoire they worked on during the week.
