Digital Skills 4 Music Teachers (DISK)
Digital Skills 4 Music Teachers (DISK) is a project conceived in 2022 with the aim of contributing to the digitisation of music education in Europe.
DISK addresses a gap identified in the training of music teachers, specifically in the field of technology and the pedagogical skills needed for a different teaching environment. The difficulties encountered during the COVID-19 pandemic in teaching music highlighted the urgent need for training appropriate to the context of arts education. Each subject taught in the field of music education has a special idiosyncrasy and the relationships established between students and teachers, the specificities of this sector of education require a different learning environment and a different pedagogy.
The specific objectives of the project are:
– To provide a scientific framework for the development of various strategies for the digitisation of music education.
– To design and test a training curriculum in digital competencies for music teachers.
– To generate a toolbox for scaling up the digitisation of music education at the European level.
This Erasmus + project is funded by the European Union through SEPIE and is led by the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía (Spain) in partnership with Munster Technological University (Ireland), Viljandi Academy of Culture of the University of Tartu (Estonia) and Grupo DEX (Spain).
