FAME’S INSTITUTE

Based in Skopje, Republic of North Macedonia, the European Capital of Culture in 2028, the FAMES INSTITUTE was launched in 2022 by implementing the first Pan-European Cultural Entities Program. This action, funded by the European Union (Creative Europe), supports cultural organizations and orchestras whose aim is to offer training, professionalization, and performance opportunities for European young talented classical musicians.

The program, the ’European Creative Orchestral Program for Skilled Youth’ is co-funded by FAME’S Project, the European Union (Creative Europe) and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of North Macedonia. The program is designed to enhance the artistic and individual skills of European young talented classical musicians, by opening new innovative perspectives in training, professionalisation, and performance opportunities, through an innovative orchestral music program. The program places a strong emphasis on a diverse musical repertoire, enabling students to explore a broad spectrum of genres.

This includes Classical, Film scores, Video games, Hybrid, Jazz, Modern, Contemporary and Traditional orchestral music. The students are exposed to various musical styles and develop a versatile understanding of music. This diversity broadens their musical horizons and exposes them to new technical skills and music styles. The program goes beyond traditional educational practices as it also emphasises the importance of adapting to the digital age and promotes values essential to European identity and culture.
