AEC would like to extend its heartfelt condolences for the loss of Bjørn Boysen (1943 – 2018), who recently passed away following a serious illness. Bjørn was a respected performer and a beloved teacher of organ at the Norwegian Academy for Music in Oslo, which he chaired as rector from 1991 to 1998.
In his capacity as long standing member of the AEC Council, he was a warm-hearted, strategic thinker and a passionate advocate for building bridges across European conservatoires and he made a decisive contribution to reform and modernize AEC and thus to transform it into the powerful, productive and path-breaking organization it is today.
He will be truly missed, our thoughts are with him and his family.
