In the difficult times of Covid-19, artists live in isolation. It is therefore difficult for them to practice their art the way they used to. It is more difficult to rehearse in a group, to prepare for exams or performances. In addition to the isolation, those living in urban areas also face the challenge of following a demanding practice program while respecting their neighbors. A challenge shared by students, teachers and professional artists. A challenge that does not prevent musicians and dancers from playing on social media, bringing communities together, supporting healthcare professionals and the public in their own way as in Italy or Spain.

For that reason, our French members, the Conservatoires Nationaux Supérieurs  in Lyon and Paris launched an exciting initiative to create public awareness that a common European spirit is needed more than ever. From 3 April on, each Friday at 19h CET, all music students, professors, professionals and music lovers are kindly invited to perform the formerly Eurovision theme, the Prelude from Charpentier’s Te Deum, at their windows and balconies. It’s Eurobalcon!
