The composition of the Board of MusiQuE – Music Quality Enhancement, is regularly renewed. AEC, as one of the four partner organisations of MusiQuE, has the right to propose candidates for appointment to the MusiQuE Board.

In January 2021, MusiQuE welcomes the following members and wishes them all the best for their upcoming mandates:

  • Jacques Moreau (Cefedem Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes) has extensive experience in Quality Assurance and has been significantly involved in MusiQuE’s activities and visits over the years. He is the Director of Cefedem Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (France), and has held many leadership and teaching positions.
  • Orla McDonagh (TU Dublin) is the Head of TU Dublin Conservatoire in Ireland, and has also been involved for many years in the field of Quality Assurance. She has participated in numerous MusiQuE Working Groups, training workshops and review procedures.
  • Ankna Arockiam is a PhD Candidate at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow, UK. She joins the MusiQuE Board as student member and has previously participated in several MusiQuE review procedures.

As new members are welcomed, MusiQuE also bids farewell to departing ones.

We acknowledge with deep gratitude the work and guidance of Martin Prchal, former chair of the Board.  Martin has been engaged in the field of quality assurance for many decades and he has been an influential advocate for QA in higher music education throughout his career. Martin’s commitment, vision and leadership enabled the very creation of MusiQuE, as well as its registration with EQAR. Current Board member Gordon Munro will take over as Chair of MusiQuE in his final year in office.

MusiQuE also takes the opportunity to deeply thank Bernd Clausen (Board member) and Rosa Welker (student Board member) for their years of involvement in MusiQuE.
