As announced via email last week, AEC active members will elect candidates for the following posts during the General Assembly in November which will be held in a hybrid format in Vienna and online.
- One Vice-President (current member – Austria – not eligible to stand for re-election)
- One Council member (current member – Estonia – eligible to stand for re-election)
As you may know, every year, some members come to the end of either their first or second term. When it is the second, they have to be replaced and at least one new candidate must be found; even when they are at the end of a first term and standing for a second, there is no reason why alternative candidates should not put themselves forward for consideration. It will help make a strong election if we have a good number of committed candidates for these posts.
