PRIhME final event and presentation at the European Forum on Music
We are thrilled to announce the upcoming Final PRIhME Multiplier event, which marks the culmination of PRIhME – Stakeholder Assembly on Power Relations in Higher Music Education.
We cordially invite you to be a part of this highly anticipated event, taking place on August 24, 2023, from 14:00 to 17:00 (online).
Please find the Multiplier programme here
We extend a warm welcome to everyone, including those from the non-musical field who are working on PRIhME-related topics. We look forward to your presence at this momentous Final PRIhME Multiplier event!
PRIhME was also discussed in the frame of the European Forum on Music (EFM) which took place on 8-10 June 2023 at the House of Music Hungary in Budapest.
The event, organised by the European Music Council, marked its 11th edition and gathered over 150 representatives from more than 20 European countries. The AEC was represented by Harrie van den Elsen, AEC former Secretary General (2016-2022).
Harrie took part in a panel discussion on the theme “Sustaining gender equity: our aim in the music sector”, representing AEC and replacing Gretchen Amussen (Chair of PRIhME General Assemblies) who was unable to travel. Harrie talked about AEC’s PRihME project by presenting the content of PRihME and highlighting especially two topics: the form of PRIhME with its four assemblies and the fact that AEC/PRIhME sees the topic of gender equity as part of a bigger topic: Power Relations. This approach and the involvement and results of the assemblies were appreciated by the audiences and proved to be a fruitful approach in the panel discussions.
