The 2021 AEC Pop and Jazz Platform (PJP) meeting will focus on the theme: the creative artists – the creative teacher and will welcome keynote speakers such as:
- Michael League – 3-time Grammy Award-winning musician, the creator and bandleader of instrumental music ensemble Snarky Puppy and world music group Bokanté, founder of the record label and music curation source GroundUP Music;
- Benny Greb – one of the most respected drummers in the world today;
- Magda Giannikou – composer, arranger, producer, vocalist, pianist and accordionist, the founder and leader of the world music group Banda Magda.
All the keynote speakers will give a live presentation during the plenary session "in conversation with…"
Before that, we invite you to attend our preconference programme on Thursday 11 February. There are four thematic sessions to discuss various matters in jazz, pop, traditional/folk fields. We will also gather students so we kindly ask you to encourage and support their participation!
Moreover, an online version of the Open Floor session will offer the opportunity to the PJP community to contribute to the conference programme.
The deadline to register on the AEC website is 8 February 2021.
The conference fee package allows the institution to register up to 5 participants.
