Together with the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional (CRR), the City of Boulogne-Billancourt is organizing a Contemporary Music Performance Competition (works composed between 1900 and 2017), that will include two rounds taking place Friday 17th and Saturday 18th of November 2017.
Under the High Patronage of Mr. Pierre-Christophe Baguet, Mayor of Boulogne-Billancourt, President of the "Grand Paris Seine Ouest" Public Institution, the competition is open to young performers of all nations, up to the age of 32 (born in 1986 or later), competing in chamber music formations from trio to septet – including up to one percussionist and up to one pianist, and excluding all kind of electroacoustic devices.
Each formation must prepare a 60 minute concert program comprising music from various periods and aesthetics. It shall include at least 2 pieces composed less than fifty years ago (between 1967 and 2017).
