The 'Florence Principles' Position Paper Endorsed
Now available in digital and printed versions!

The European League of Institutes of the Arts (ELIA) has published a position paper in both print and digital versions this week under the tittle 'Florence Principles'. This position paper was published on the Doctorate in the Arts already, when it was presented at the ELIA Biennial in December 2016.

After the feedback was collected and evaluated, the partners (AECCumulusCilectEAAE and SAR) endorsed it. The paper now is in a newly designed booklet format!

The launch of the new publication coincides with the first meeting of the ELIA Representative Board that was elected at the ELIA Biennial on Florence. Amongst present, is Andrea Braidt from the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, who is chair of the Artistic Research working group at ELIA. She presented the position paper at the ELIA Biennial.

The 'Florence Principles' is formulated as a point of reference for policymakers, university leaders, curriculum designers and research funding agencies. It is addressed to universities of art and science alike, helping the former to secure recognition for their endeavors (with national funding bodies, legislature, etc.) and helping the latter to learn about the research developments within the art university sector.
