UBUNTU is a coaching platform for musicians founded by Daisylydia, former Artist Manager for Icelandic Singer Björk + Artivist Bianca Jagger, that teams up with education platforms to leverage a student’s technical training by developing an artist’s mental and spiritual prowess via masterclasses and 1:1 coaching.
UBUNTU takes the mind’s role in success as seriously as sports.
Martial Artist Bruce Lee, says it best:
‘..too much time is given to the development of skill and too little to the development of the individual for participation. Training deals not with an object, but with the human spirit and human emotions. It takes intellect and judgement to handle such delicate qualities as these. It implies discipline of the mind and power and endurance of the body. It is all these things working together in harmony’.
Sports coaches for legends like Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant and Serena Williams have been training their athlete’s bodies, minds and spirits to succeed in their crafts for decades.
Now through UBUNTU Masterclasses, students learn how artists at the top flourish creatively, inter-personally in business and sustain their success despite the pressures inherent to the industry – practical insight routed back to the latest findings in sports psychology and the spiritual arts that can be tangibly applied to a student’s own career.
Masterclasses can be presented as a complete series over three sessions plus a pro-bono session on social justice and the arts, or a-la-carte. Each masterclass is 1hr 30 mins including a 15 min Q&A and presented over Demio with +/- 50 slides.
