The call for members for the AEC Pop and Jazz Platform Working Group that was launched earlier this year attracted 17 applications. We are glad to say that among those who applied, there was an above-average number of highly qualified applications, which unfortunately also meant that we received many more qualified applications than vacant places were available. After thoroughly reviewing and weighing the pros and cons of the individual profiles and acknowledging the specific task of the working group, the AEC Executive Committee decided at the suggestion of the selection committee to appoint Mario Carrillo from Centro Superior Música Creativa Madrid and Denis Vaudrin from Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris. Both candidates have since accepted their honorable calling and will take up their task immediately. AEC and the PJP WG welcome the new members and wish them the best of luck!
Mario and Denis will replace Lars Andersson and Udo Dahmen, who finished their mandate after many successful years of fruitful and outstanding work and collaboration. AEC and the WG members would like to thank them for their passion, commitment and professionalism and to wish them all the best with further professional development.
