The handbook is deliberately concerned with links between curriculum de- sign and development and three of the key elements that have been much talked about in European Higher Education in recent years – Learning Outcomes, Credit Points and Quality Assurance. All three of these have been given additional impetus by the Bologna Process and this handbook has been written with that background in mind. It is hoped that it will give some help and encouragement to individuals and teams working on implementing changes in their institutions that relate to the Bologna Process.
