In our strong and diverse academic environment at the Department of Music at NTNU we now have a vacancy for a permanent position as Associate Professor of piano. We are looking for a committed pianist with high competence and experience as a pianist, accompanist, and chamber musician. The position is part of the study programme for music performance, and is advertised with a position percentage 50 %. NTNU Music has Norway's broadest range of educational pathways in music at one and the same department. We have performance studies in classical music, church music, jazz. We have musicology with practical performance, music technology, dance studies and PPU. The department has several PhD fellows in artistic research, and most colleagues are active also as performing and creative musicians. Overall, NTNU has the largest artistic study environment in the country, with education in music, film, art history, drama and theatre, architecture, and visual arts.
