The AEC is seeking a Communication Intern to support its digital communications across projects, events, and institutional activities.
This opportunity is perfect for students who are passionate about communication, music, the cultural sector, and higher music education.
We are looking for someone with strong English writing skills, experience in social media and content creation, and an eye for visual communication.
You will join a small and dynamic international team based in Brussels, contributing to how AEC communicates with its members, partners, and the wider cultural policy landscape.
Application deadline: 15 March
This position is filled on a rolling basis, meaning interviews may start before the closing date.

- Social media
- Newsletters
- Website
- Publications
You will contribute to shaping how content from within and beyond the network is shared across communication channels.
You will also support the implementation and improvement of AEC’s communication strategy, for example by monitoring engagement statistics and helping assess communication impact.
To strengthen AEC’s visibility among partners and policymakers, you will also:
- Monitor relevant policy developments at European and national level (e.g. European Commission, European Parliament, EACEA, national governments, sector partners)
- Contribute to communication linked to advocacy and sector developments
You will be involved in internal meetings and expert working groups and — depending on the internship period — may have the opportunity to travel to AEC events such as:
- International Relations Coordinators (IRC) Meeting
- AEC Congress
- Pop & Jazz Platform (PJP)
- European Platform for Artistic Research in Music (EPARM)
