Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for those passionate about communication, music, the cultural sector and higher music education. The ideal candidate should have excellent English writing skills, experience with social media, and some graphic design skills. The intern will work in a small and dynamic team.

As the Project & Management Intern, you will work and communicate with experts and people throughout the entire AEC network all over Europe, including the AEC Council which is responsible for the long-term strategy of the AEC. You will assist our expert working groups with organising meetings and preparing publications and reports. Moreover, you will assist the AEC Office and Project Coordinators with the overall management of the office and the various projects. This includes contributing to the financial administration of the project, AEC and of the membership. If you feel at ease with dealing with 300 institutions, coordinating projects, asking the right questions and bringing people together, this is the position for you.

Profile

  • Interest in the higher music education and cultural sector at large
  • Interest in the management and coordination aspects of higher music education
  • Comfortable working with a diverse network across Europe

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with experts and AEC network members
  • Assist expert working groups in organising meetings and preparing publications
  • Manage overall office and project administration, including financial aspects
  • Deal with 300 institutions, coordinate projects

Requirements:

  • Possess strong organisational and communication skills
  • Demonstrate an open and communicative approach
  • Proficient in English
  • Knowledge of French, German, or Italian is an asset
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to learn
  • Comfortable dealing with a wide range of tasks 
  • Working in a team

 Ideal Candidates for the Internship:

  • Students/alumni of cultural management courses, European studies, social studies, or related humanities programs.
  • Seeking experience in working in a cultural organisation on a European level
  • Interested in working with European funding programmes in education and culture
