General Information
The cmdl offers a complete and particularly immersive musical education. Driven by a real desire to transmit and defend jazz and improvised music, musicians Didier Lockwood, Benoît Sourisse, André Charlier and director Chantal Charlier created this higher education establishment in 2000. Intended to support young musicians towards professional life and to enable professionals already in activity to develop their careers. The CMDL makes every effort to bring students to the level of excellence and versatility required today in this profession.
According to French higher education, the jazz music department offers a bachelor's degree in performance and a master's program "Musical education and practice"
These training courses are offered in partnership with the University of Evry - Paris Saclay which awards the diploma.
