General Information
At the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts (HfMDK), 63 professors and 350 lecturers currently teach around 950 students from over 50 nations. The range of artistic, pedagogical and scientific teaching is reflected in 26 degree programs in which the HfMDK successfully trains students for careers in music, theater and dance in a practice-oriented manner.
Our central task is the excellent education of our students. The special quality of the education at the HfMDK is characterized by the intensive personal artistic and scientific supervision of the students, the combination of theory and practice as well as the most diverse projects and cooperations. One of the focal points of the program is contemporary art.
In addition, the HfMDK has a clear mission: We want to inspire enthusiasm for the arts - and thus ensure the preservation and expansion of a vibrant cultural life.
As a "networked" university, we cooperate with all important cultural institutions in the region and beyond, and are committed to long-term projects to ensure that all people can participate in the arts.
