From July 22nd to July 29th, 2017, Barcelona will host the 11th World Symposium on Choral Music.
The Federació Catalana d’Entitats Corals (Catalan Federation of Choirs) (FCEC), working together with the International Federation for Choral Music (IFCM), is honored to organize an event that will bring together participants from all around the world to exchange and enrich choral music. Composers, conductors, choirs, professionals, publishers and fans of choral music will join a space of cooperation and artistic excellence.
The Symposium has as its slogan: “The Colours of Peace”. The colours symbolise the diversity of international choral life in the building of a world at peace. The Symposium wants to give you a new opportunity for this noble goal.
The symposium welcomes the diversity of world choral life that would be represented through all the different events that will take place during it: concerts, masterclasses, lectures, choral expo…
The most emblematic buildings and concert halls of a cosmopolitan city full of energy, as L’Auditori, the Palau de la Música Catalana or the Sagrada Familia will be the stages for the best of global choral community. Join the international choral community for this amazing, unique and non-competitive event.
