Opera Europa, the professional association of opera companies and festivals in Europe, is launching a scholarship for singers currently in full-time further education, at either university or conservatoire.
The scholarship has been created to honor the memory of Eva Kleinitz, who was the Director of the Opéra National du Rhin and past President of Opera Europa, unfortunately deceased in 2019.
The grants are intended to contribute to the young singers’ career progress and to support them when taking their first steps into the profession. Applicants are asked to provide a document which should include a CV, current repertoire, a reference and motivation letter and digital video material. A short list of applicants will be made and those singers selected will be invited to a round of online auditions. Deadline for application is 15 November 2021.
