By means of this statement, AEC expresses its deep concern with regard to the US president's executive order to prevent persons from seven Muslim-majority countries to enter the US based only on their origin and nationality.
This decision constitutes a serious interference with the idea of promoting and encouraging international student and teaching staff mobility and thus, it is in direct contradiction to the fundamental values of the AEC.
Consequently, AEC officially supports European University Association's call for immediate rethinking of Trump’s executive order.
