dialoguing@rts (d@rts) is an international research initiative funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe Research and Innovation Programme. Its mission is to investigate how Cultural Literacy Education (CLE) — learning through the arts — can foster cultural understanding and strengthen social cohesion. As part of the project, a new survey has been launched to gather insights from professionals working in music, theatre, and dance education.
Why this survey?
At a time when the arts are increasingly undervalued and underfunded, we are at a critical juncture. The performing arts — music, drama, and dance — play a vital role in building inclusive, empathetic, and resilient communities. To secure their place in our societies, however, passion alone is not enough: robust, evidence-based arguments are essential.
The project team invites professionals in the arts, education, and cultural sectors to contribute their experiences by completing a short 10-minute survey. The findings will provide valuable insights into how cultural literacy is being implemented across Europe and highlight the real impact of arts education in schools, communities, and beyond.
