The Liszt Academy of Music Budapest announces the Bartók World Competition – 2025 Piano for pianists under 32 years. The competition repertoire focuses on works of Bartók but also includes the most important classical, romantic and 20th-century pieces.
We would be grateful if you could spread this information among young pianists you think may be interested in applying. Please find attached the creatives of the Competition in different sizes for online communication. They are suitable to be sent by mail or used as an image on social platforms. Your help is very much appreciated.
Live rounds will be held at the Liszt Academy between 31 August and 7 September 2025.
The application deadline is 26 May 2025.

- Prize – 22.000 EUR
- Prize – 14.000 EUR

Special prizes
- Best Bartók interpretation: 4000 EUR
- Best contemporary interpretation: 2000 EUR
- Audience prize: 1500 EUR

Competitors are provided with hotel accommodation as long as they stay in the competition.
