CALL: AEC Network of Green and Environmental Sustainability Officers
The AEC is launching a Network for Environmental Sustainability Officers (i.e. Green Officers) at member institutions to create a space for learning, exchange, and mutual support, and to explore ways of contributing to the Green shift through institutional operations and curriculum development.
The network will bring together staff members working on environmental sustainability and the Green transition within AEC member institutions who are committed to sharing expertise and experience and to learning from peers.
Through online meetings, the network will discuss:
- The challenges faced by Green Officers and other relevant staff in advancing their work.
- Best practices from peers that can be adopted, adapted and implemented across institutions.
- How to further advance the Green agenda for the HME sector.
Individuals joining the network will also have the opportunity to:
- Review and update the Play Green! Recommendations for Green Transition in HME.
- Use the network as a support group to share daily operational challenges and reflect together on potential solutions.
- Explore the implications and opportunities of digital sustainability.
- If feasible, develop toolkits for the Higher Music Education Institutions (HMEI) sector, focusing on various aspects of environmentally conscious operations.
The individuals joining the network may determine the core topics according to their specific needs, institutional context, and scope of action.
The meetings will take place online, four times a year.
We warmly encourage you to invite colleagues who are working on the Green agenda or are involved in matters related to environmental sustainability to join the network.
