Within the scope of MUSense Project, the event “Embedding IT and Cyber in music training and performance” took place in the charming premises of the Ionian University in Corfu, Greece, on 06-07 October 2023 as both an online and in-presence event.
This international conference on technology and music performance addressed interdisciplinarity and trans-disciplinarity in music, augmented reality, multimedia technologies and distance & cyber performance both as new skills for music students and as entrepreneurial opportunities for the creative industries with a series of presentations and workshops by experts in the field.
The event included presentations and discussions of MUSense’s project results and training entitled: “Design thinking method to exploit innovative ideas in music training through distance”. Music, art and IT students, music teachers from music schools and higher music education institutions, technicians, professionals from creative and high-tech industries and national authorities took part in the event. Overall, the event was attended by 57 in-presence participants coming from Greece and all over Europe, and about 50 participants online.
