The restructuring process of the European Platform for Higher Education (ESHE or the Bologna Declaration) for Post graduate Education has generated new terms for advanced artistic education at all levels. One of the innovations has been the implementation of artistic post – graduate and Master’s degrees in collaboration with universities belonging to the ESHE.
Music studies, specifically the Master’s and post – graduate programs fulfill a cultural demand from the musical sector. These studies offer the student the knowledge and capacity to aquire skills and to advance their artistic development while simultaneously engendering research areas to be pursued in future graduate or post graduate programs.
The official masters and advanced artistic studies share the ECTS credit system, its criteria, comparable methodologies and equivalent program durations to existing european degrees. This facilitates and promotes the student’s future mobility and incoporation into the European labor market.
