Transnational Project Meeting and Intensive Training Week for Students in Budapest

The second Transnational Project Meeting of the HarMA HUB project, co-funded by the European Union, took place on 22 April 2024 at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest. The partners shared updates regarding the progress of the project, planned the next actions and distributed the tasks. AEC informed about the communication actions since the previous meeting in Gdansk, and the participants were presented with latest draft version of the HarmaHUB website, an important platform for disseminating the project’s results, a knowledge base, and a tool to support the further development within the learning and teaching of music theory on a European level. As always, the meeting offered a good setting for networking time.

The Transnational Project Meeting was followed by the HarMA Intensive Training Week for Students on 23-27 April, targeting students and teachers from the partner institutions for a full week of training programme focusing on music theory.

The 5-days programme aimed at giving the participating students, all coming from music theory departments of the partner institutions, the opportunity to experiment, transfer and apply content of the project, as well as working with the tools developed within the project to broaden student’s perception of music theory courses as it is taught in different EU countries.

The primary goal of the programme is to meet different educational habits and methods at a practical level, and ultimately, that different music pedagogic techniques could cross-fertilize each other.

HarMA International Seminar Event, 14-16 April 2025

The HarMA International Seminar Event will take place on 14-16 April 2025 at the Conservatori Superior de Música Joaquín Rodrigo in Valencia, bringing together teachers, researchers, students and external stakeholders with the main objective of fostering transnational collaboration and knowledge exchange on music theory subjects.
