The 4th International Jazz Composition Contest Katowice 2017 will be organized by the „Katowice City of Gardens – the Krystyna Bochenek Institution of Culture” as part of the 12th edition of the Silesian Jazz Festival,  which will be conducted in cooperation with the Katowice City of Gardens the Krystyna Bochenek Institution of Culture, the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice and the Katowice City Hall.
The contest assumes no age or style limitations for participation, and participation is free of charge. The winners of the 2017 4th International Jazz Composition Contest will receive the following financial awards:
  • A Grand Prix of EUR 3000
  • 2nd Award of EUR 1200
  • 3rd Award of EUR 800
