IN.TUNE stands as the pioneering European university alliance dedicated to music and art.
Endowed with approximately 8.6 million euros by the European Union for a four-year term, IN.TUNE underscores the pivotal role of higher education in moulding sustainable, democratic, and resilient societies.
IN.TUNE unites the following institutions:
- Norges musikkhøgskole
- Universitatea Nationala de Muzica Bucuresti
- Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris
- Sibelius-Akademin
- Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya
- MDW – Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien
- Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag
- Fakultet Muzicke Umetnosti Beograd
Emerging amidst diverse social dynamics, IN.TUNE confronts both opportunities and challenges in higher music education and the cultural and creative domain. Rapid technological advancements, evolving professional landscapes, and unstable funding paradigms necessitate continual adaptation in pedagogical approaches and institutional strategies.
The alliance revolves around four core themes: Joint education and mobility, research and innovation, social engagement, and governance and collaboration. These themes are explored across eight work packages, with each partner institution spearheading one while actively engaging in others. Together, they will devise strategies to equip students for future roles in the arts and culture sector, with a keen focus on knowledge dissemination, audiovisual innovation, and digitally supported mobility and collaboration formats.
A multitude of Associated Partners, including the European Association of Conservatoires (AEC), bolsters IN.TUNE with expertise in research and social engagement, fostering connections across Europe’s cultural and social landscape.
