After a two-years delay due to the covid-19 pandemic, the Opera InCanto project ends with three final performances of Puccini’s Turandot in Germany (Oper Leipzig, 28-29 April), Croatia (Medulin caves, 25 May) and Spain (Madrid, 6 June). Since 2018, the project has brought together young lyric artists and schoolchildren from several European cities to create, rehearse and stage opera performances, thus promoting the arts and crafts of opera, creating new audience and introducing younger generations to the performing arts. The project, in which the AEC participates along five European partners is led by Europa InCanto and is co-funded by the Creative Europe program of the European Union.
