MUSENSE (Music Higher Education Meets the Cyber Dimension) is a three-year Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership project to create new skills among students of Higher Music Education Institutions (HMEIs) in the field of live performance. The project also aims to establish a new attitude towards the performance and the audience.
The official launch and kick-off meeting of the project, coordinated by the Conservatoire of Music ‘A. Scarlatti’, took place in Palermo, Italy on 13-14 May 2022.
The project consortium also includes Ionian University (Corfu, Greece), Koninklijk Conservatorium (Brussels, Belgium), Malmö Academy of Music (Malmö, Sweden), Yasar University, (Izmir, Turkey) and the AEC.
The central component of MUSENSE is to educate and forge staff and students of Higher Music Education Institutions in order to acquire and embrace the digital shift while improving skills in cyber and live innovative performances. The consortium will aim to achieve it through the development of specific course modules to update skills, competencies and know-how, as well as guidelines for a cyber and distant performance Training LAB to support universities and educational institutions with adopting innovative training format in their specific music contexts.
More information will be posted on the AEC website and the project website in the coming months.
