Empowering Musicians for a healthy and sustainable working life
Date: 17-18-19 September 2025
Registration: Register here
Venue: SDMK – Danish National Academy of Music, Odense, Denmark
The conference is the 5th Nordic conference in this series and is hosted by the Danish National Academy of Music, Odense, Denmark, the University of Southern Denmark, and the University Hospital Odense.
We are delighted to invite you to a conference dedicated to exploring how we can safeguard the physical and mental health of musicians while fostering their artistic and creative potential. Musicians often embark on their careers at a young age, committing to long hours of practice and performance. This makes it essential to address how we can cultivate a sustainable working environment, both in education and on stage.
MHC25 will be an international conference bringing together physicians, therapists, educators, artistic directors, employers, students, and professionals from music, performing arts, and healthcare. The event will focus on improving the performance, health, and well-being of musicians and performing artists across all genres.
The conference will combine scientific knowledge and practical experience, featuring keynote speakers, panel debates, paper and poster presentations, workshops, demonstrations, and networking opportunities. Attendees will explore the latest research, practical tools, and strategies to support healthier, more balanced, and sustainable careers in the performing arts, fostering collaboration and exchange among experts, researchers, practitioners, and students worldwide.
If you have any questions about practical things, please contact the conference secretary: Anette Møller Pedersen at anette.m.pedersen@rsyd.dk
We are looking forward to seeing you at the Musicians’ Health Conference 2025 in Odense, Denmark.
