The event is organized by the Music and Dance Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and the Czech Trombone Association. Inspired by the famous Rotterdam festival, the organisers want the Prague Bone Fest to become a meeting point for world class trombonists and all generations of musicians. Concerts and masterclasses will take place at the Music and Dance Faculty of AMU at the Liechtenstein Palace, the Prague Conservatoire, the Suk Hall of Rudolfinum and the Municipal Library of Prague. The programme also includes a festival market. Prague will host experts in classical music and jazz and renowned musicians will share their skills and experience with students of elementary schools of art, conservatoires and higher education music schools.
The festival will welcome important guests from abroad such as Zdzislaw Stolarczyk, with the main ensembles Czech Philharmonic Low Brass, Pulec Octet Tribute, Přemysl Tomšíček Sextet, Janoušek – Wroblewski Quartet, and outstanding soloists Lukáš Moťka, Robert Kozánek, Štěpán Janoušek, Jakub Mašek and Zdeněk Němec.
