All AEC Members are invited to participate in an extraordinary musical journey, Designing Voices for Our Lives, a unique collaboration set to resonate on a global stage at the WORLD EXPO OSAKA 2025.
About Designing Voices for Our Lives
AEC Member Institutions are invited to propose their students to be part of a special choir that will have the opportunity to perform in Osaka for the WORLD EXPO 2025 at the Austrian pavilion. The initiative is coordinated by Mozarteum University Salzburg.
From 11 to 23 May 2025, selected students from AEC member institutions will have the opportunity to join a vibrant, multilingual a cappella choir directed by Professor Jörn Andresen of Mozarteum University.
Project Details
- Location: Osaka, Japan
- Project Phase: May 11 – May 23, 2025
- Program: A cappella concert featuring works that celebrate voice, words, and hope
- Eligible Singers: Students of Voice, Choral Conducting, Church Music, Music Education, and related fields with choral experience and a passion for collaboration
- Costs: Each AEC member institution will cover the travel and accommodation expenses for their selected singer(s). Accommodations in youth hostels will be organised by Mozarteum University, while flights will be arranged by the member institutions.
Each AEC institution is invited to select one soprano, one alto, one tenor, and one bass to apply.
Mozarteum University’s jury will select one singer from each institution based on the submissions. Notifications will be sent by January 31, 2025.
