Together with world-renowned soprano Cristina Gallardo-Domâs, Don Franzen will be a visiting artist this summer. Franzen is a prestigious lawyer in Beverly Hills, California, specializing in entertainment and business law. He serves on the board of the Los Angeles Opera, co-chairs its legal committee, and counts among his clients leading opera performers such as Plácido Domingo, and performers in the orchestral music, film, and recording industries.
Franzen is a frequent guest lecturer in the global entertainment and music business graduate program at Berklee’s campus in Valencia. In addition, he has lectured on entertainment law at the Eastman School of Music, Santa Monica College’s Academy of Entertainment and Technology and is an adjunct professor at the University of California, Los Angeles’s Herb Albert School of Music, where he teaches two courses on the law and the music industry. The Boston Conservatory at Berklee and Berklee College of Music's campus in Valencia is offering one full scholarship to a singer who is either currently an currently and undergraduate student or who has recently completed their undergraduate studies. You must apply and be accepted to the program to benefit from the award. The scholarship covers tuition only.
