AEC is launching a survey among its member institutions to gain insight into the admission procedures to both pre-college and higher music education studies.
We are investigating issues about the preparation of young people striving for a career as professional musicians and their admission to pre-college programmes and higher music education institutions (HMEI) at the bachelor level.
Help us gain insight into the admission procedures to both pre-college and higher music education studies!
We want to find out whether your institution provides targeted preparation for admission to higher music education studies and if so, how this is organised, and what the needs and challenges are.
The survey was developed by the joint AEC / YMTE Working Group on Pre-College music education of the ARTEMIS project. YMTE and AEC are European umbrella organisations representing the interests of Higher Music Education Institutions (AEC) and Pre-College Music Education (YMTE) at European and international levels.
The survey is being launched in the frame of the AEC – Empowering Artists as Makers in Society project (ARTEMIS, 2022-2025), co-funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Commission.
