On 13 January 2026, the third webinar in the series ‘WE ARE – Webinars on Artistic Research Training’ took place. After the first webinar offered a general introduction to the topic, the following editions were supposed to address selected aspects or sub-topics. This time, the sub-topic was ‘Artistic Research in Interdisciplinary and Transdisciplinary Contexts’ and was presented by Gilvano Dalagna and Jorge Salgado Correia from INET-md at the University of Aveiro in Portugal. INET-md is a research institute dedicated in particular to conducting and promoting transdisciplinary research in music and dance.
Both the registration numbers and the feedback on the webinar were positive and showed that the webinar series clearly fills a gap in the market. The series will definitely be continued, but no date has yet been set for the next edition. Before doing so, the project will be presented to a broader AR community at the EPARM conference in April. among others in order to discuss and explore the possibilities of placing the initiative on a broader footing.
