YOUR TASKS

• Independent research and publication activities in the fields of gender, diversity and/or disability studies

• Independent teaching of courses and holding exams

• Co-operation in research projects and teaching tasks for which the organisational unit to which they have been assigned, is responsible

• Assistance in examinations

• Contribution to organisational and administrative tasks as well as evaluation measures, for example

o the conception, organisation and implementation of scientific events, workshops and continuing education measures in the field of gender, diversity and disability studies as well as participation in the further development and implementation of the diversity strategy of the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz

o Organisation and coordination of advertisings

o Cooperation with external partner organisations of the ZfGD (regional, national, international)

o Networking activities (e.g. Gender Plattform, ÖGGF, KEG)

o Cooperation with UniTy on the topic of studying and working with disabilities

o Participation in committees at the KUG

• Support of students

YOUR PROFILE

• Completion of a doctoral program in Gender & Diversity Studies with a focus on Disability Studies

• Welcome: Verifiable qualifications or a verifiable additional area of specialization in music, art, or cultural studies 

• Demonstrable knowledge of current discourses in gender, diversity and disability studies

• Competence in the areas of diversity-oriented educational work and Third Mission communication (also Social Media)

• Teaching experience at universities

• Very good knowledge of university processes

• Experience in the implementation of scientific events

• Experience in the acquisition of third-party funding

• Scientific lectures and publications

• National and international networking

• Excellent knowledge of German and English

• Sensitivity in dealing with gender, diversity and sustainability

• Experience in communicating about research and the field beyond the academy (community outreach) is welcome.

CONTRACT

• The employment contract is limited to 2 years with the option for an extension of further 2 years.

• Employment level: part-time, level of 75 % of full-time employment (30 hours/week)

• Salary: minimum monthly gross salary currently € 3,760.73 (14x annually) according to the collective bargaining Agreement for University Staff and may be increased based on the terms of the collective agreement, considering the professional experience relevant to the position.
