for Artistic Research in Music

The University of Music and Performing Arts Graz – the KUG- is an internationally renowned educational institution in the heart of Europe with campuses in Graz and Oberschützen. Your tasks areas

• Original artistic research and related publication

• Editorial collaboration on the handbook for doctoral students and the handbook for supervisors of the KWDS, as well as related events and tutorials

• Organisation and production of the Salon 12B discussion series, and preparatory organisation of the May-residencies

• Cooperation in the preliminary orientation contact with Dr.artium applicants and in the Dr.artium admission procedure

• Co-authorship of a grant application and third-party funding acquisition

• Participation in various organisational and administrative tasks of the KWDS

Your profile

• Doctoral degree in a relevant field of research

• Research work and publications with peer-review in artistic research (musical or musical-intermedial), at a high international level.

• Close familiarity with the current and widely faceted discourse on artistic research

• Proven experience and competences in the management and implementation of musical and scientific/scholarly events

• Excellent teamworker with a sophisticated working and communication culture, social competence

• Excellent academic English and German skills

• Competence and/or experience in the areas of gender and diversity

Advantageous skills/experience

• An artistic-scholarly research practice

• Teaching experience at tertiary level

• Experience within an academic working environment

KUG attaches particular importance to risk reduction in relation to the pandemic. Therefore, it is desirable that applicants are vaccinated against COVID-19, at the latest at the commencement of employment.

Contract:Contract: substitute position, position limited to 6 months

Level of employment:Level of employment: part-time, employment extent of 57,5 % of full-employment

Pay: Pay: Collective agreement minimum monthly gross salary currently € 2,335.36 (14 x annually); the salary can increase on the basis of the provisions of the collective agreement by crediting of specific prior experience.
