YOUR DUTIES

• Teaching, particularly in the main artistic subject of the Bachelor's and Master's degree programs in ‘Computer Music and Sound Art’, as well as supervision of artistic doctoral students

• Responsible representation and promotion of the subject in its entirety, in particular in the development and practice of its arts-based activity and research

• Active and original artistic activities

• Conceptualization of a specific, self-dependent education portfolio and holding the corresponding course

• Conceptualization of (artistic) research projects/acquisition of third-party funds

• Participation in activities to further develop the joint education portfolio

• Active participation in the further development of the teaching, learning, and research culture of the university, as well as involvement in the academic self-administration of the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz

• Holding exams (e.g. admission exams, courses)

• Collaboration and project management in interinstitutional contemporary art projects

• Participation in organisational, administrative and evaluation duties


YOURE PROFILE

• Relevant tertiary qualification from an Austrian or international institution, or equivalent artistic aptitude

• Outstanding personality with the highest artistic qualification for the position

• Extensive, independent, and distinguished artistic work of outstanding quality

• Outstanding pedagogical and didactic competence

• Teaching experience or master classes in the tertiary sector

• Outstanding international artistic career

• Evident knowledge of and reflective engagement with various artistic and social developments and discourses

• Knowledge of electroacoustics and of audio programming environments, preferably in the field of open source development

• Sensitivity in dealing with gender, diversity and sustainability

• If German is not the applicant’s native language, a willingness to learn German with the aim of reaching at least level B2 within a fixed period of time is assumed.

CONTRACT

• Contract according to § 98 of the Universities Act

• Unlimited employment contract in accordance with § 25 of the collective bargaining Agreement for University Staff

• Employment level: full-time employment

• Salary: The collective agreement specifies a minimum monthly gross salary (A1 job group), currently € 6,713.30 (14x annually); a higher salary may be negotiated.
