Looking to explore new approaches to your teaching? The Artist as Teacher Seminars 2027 offer a space to exchange ideas with colleagues from across Europe, discover practical tools and develop your practice as an artist-teacher.
Designed for teachers in Higher Music Education at any stage of their career, the programme combines in-depth seminars, practical teaching tools and reflective practice. You will have the opportunity to explore new ways of educating and coaching conservatoire students, share experiences with peers and take away ideas you can put into practice in your own teaching.
What to expect?
- Professional development: deepen your teaching skills and grow as an artist-teacher.
- Practical tools: discover strategies and resources you can use in your teaching and assessments.
- Peer exchange: share challenges, learn from colleagues and explore different approaches together.
- New connections: become part of a European network of music educators.
Who can apply?
The programme is open to artist-teachers of artistic, theoretical and interdisciplinary subjects at conservatoires, universities and related Higher Music Education institutions who are keen to reflect on their practice, exchange ideas and continue developing as educators.
How does it work?
The programme combines online sessions with a weekend of in-person sessions at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague (Netherlands), bringing together learning, discussion and face-to-face exchange.
Erasmus+ staff mobility support may be available to help cover participation expenses.
Application deadline: 15 November 2026
