General Information
The Antonio Buzzolla State Conservatory of Music, established in 1975, has been part of the Higher Artistic and Musical Education (AFAM) system since 1999. Although not a large institution, it has all the main departments and offers the most relevant courses in professional musical training: Strings, Winds, Keyboards and Percussion, Singing and Musical Theatre, Composition and Conducting, Music Education and Pedagogy, and Jazz Music. The high quality of its educational offer, with teachers who are well-established as performers, soloists and award-winners, attracts many students from other Italian regions and from abroad. Thanks to its ECHE certification, it actively participate in Erasmus exchanges with Programme Countries (KA131 call projects) and, since 2022, with Partner Countries (collaborations with Georgia, Armenia, and Ukraine, involving several incoming and outgoing students and staff each year). It is deeply rooted in its local environment, the Veneto Region (Northern Italy), and its well-established collaborations with local authorities and other schools and educational institutions allow for frequent exchanges. Through these partnerships, the local community is kept informed and can benefit from its musical production activities.
