General Information

State Music Conservatoire "G. Rossini" has been founded as a voice and composition school on Gioachino Rossini will. Now it is owned by the Italian government, and its dimension have increased during the years: the average number of students per year is now of 900, with almost 150 regular teachers and many part time teachers.
 
Conservatoire "Rossini" offers pre-academic, bachelor and master courses on almost all the study programs planned in the Italian music education curriculum (link to student's guide at the end of the page). The institute hosts a historical library of great importance, up to date with the recent literature, a theatre with a capacity of 500 seats, a modern experimental ambisonic room with electronic instruments. The Conservatoire's productions are regularly presented in concert seasons both in Pesaro and in the neighbour cities, and many cooperation projects are being carried out with professional musical institutions and entities (Orchestra Filarmonica Marchigiana, Rossini Opera Festival...).
 
"Rossini" Conservatoire participates in Erasmus European project since 2007, and has thus opened many partnerships with other European institutions for teachers and students exchanges and the implementation of shared projects.
Erasmus project was easily enough integrated in the organization, Conservatoire "Rossini" has a long tradition of hosting foreign students and was prepared to open to foreign institutions. In the last years exchanges with non -European HEIs have increased, and specific projects have been implemented with Russia, China, Usa and other countries, with the main aim of spreading artistic and educative knowledge, exchange best practices, sharing productions.
